v1.3.0
Tasks, adding entries from the timeline, and more
Time logged against a task
Time logged against a ticket is now linked to a real task, worked out when the entry is saved, so manual entries, commits and backfills all follow the same rule.
- Tag a task as you type. Write
#ABC-123in a manual entry's description to log it against that task. You no longer have to write a fake conventional-commit prefix to do it. - Conventional-commit scopes keep working. A commit titled
feat(ABC-123): …lands on the same task. - One task, however you write it.
feat(#22)and#22are the same task, and so areabc-123andABC-123. - Inline tags count in manual entries only. In a commit subject a
#usually means a pull request, an issue or a colour, so commits are read by their scope alone. Merge commits and force-push summaries aren't linked to a task, because neither describes one piece of work.
Reports keep their "No ticket" group, so existing reports and MCP answers look the same.
Add entries straight from the timeline
Each row on the timeline now has a rail that opens an Add entry slot beneath it, so you can insert work between two records, before the first or after the last.
- The new entry takes the project of the record above, and fits between its neighbours.
- In a gap, you give a duration rather than a time, and an overrun is trimmed to fit rather than rejected. The + in the header still asks for a time, since nothing is known about when that work happened.
- The rail only adds. Clicking a row still edits it.
Hovering a commit highlights the entry it produced
Point at a commit in the webhook activity panel and the timeline entry it created lights up, and the other way round, keyboard focus included. A force push, whose commits all collapse into one summary entry, lights them all up together.
Fixes & improvements
- Projects are archived, not deleted, and the settings screens now say so. Archiving never removed any hours.
- Editing a time entry recorded under a different timezone no longer moves it out of its session, even when the edit only changed the project.
- GitHub pushes from bots and branch automation are accepted when the pusher has no email address.
- The date-range picker and the time entry form carry accessible descriptions for screen readers.
- The time entry form waits behind a placeholder until its values load, instead of filling in defaults and then visibly replacing them.
- The daily timesheet loads with a placeholder rather than a spinner that wrapped the header onto a third line on phones.
