Please read these terms carefully before using Clocktopus. By using our service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Blastin (ABN 79 162 409 041), an Australian business, regarding your use of Clocktopus.

By creating an account or using Clocktopus, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

Service Description

Clocktopus is a time tracking application that automatically tracks developer work time based on git commit activity. The service:

  • Connects to your git repositories via webhooks
  • Calculates time entries from your commit patterns
  • Provides reporting and analytics for tracked time
  • Allows manual time entry adjustments

Beta Program

Beta Service Notice

Clocktopus is currently in beta. This means:

  • The service is provided “as-is” without warranty
  • Features may change, be added, or removed without notice
  • You may experience bugs, errors, or service interruptions
  • Data loss is possible, though we take reasonable precautions
  • Support is provided on a best-effort basis

By using the beta service, you understand and accept these limitations.

Early Adopter Benefit

3 Months Free for Beta Users

As a thank you for being an early adopter, users who sign up during the beta period will receive:

  • 3 months free access when paid plans are introduced
  • This benefit applies automatically to accounts created during the beta period
  • No action required - your account will be credited when pricing launches

We will notify you via email before the beta period ends and paid plans are introduced.

Future Pricing

Clocktopus is currently free during the beta period. We reserve the right to:

  • Introduce paid subscription tiers in the future
  • Offer different feature sets for free and paid plans
  • Modify pricing at any time with reasonable notice to existing users

We will provide at least 30 days notice before any pricing changes take effect for existing users.

Your Account

When you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the service
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use the service to track time for activities unrelated to software development
  • Submit false or misleading time tracking data
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

Your Data

Data Ownership

You retain ownership of your time tracking data. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over the data you submit to the service. Your time entries, project names, and other content belong to you.

License to Us

By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data as necessary to provide the service. This license ends when you delete your account.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied
  • We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (if any)
  • We are not responsible for any loss of data, revenue, or profits

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Termination

You may terminate: Delete your account at any time through the settings page. All your data will be immediately and permanently deleted.

We may terminate: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our discretion.

Effect of termination: Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately. Any provisions of these Terms that should survive termination will remain in effect.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. When we make significant changes:

  • We will notify you via email or through the service
  • We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page
  • Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of changes

If you disagree with any changes, you may delete your account.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
