Install Clocktopus as an App

PWA

Clocktopus is a Progressive Web App (PWA). You can install it to your desktop or mobile home screen so it opens in its own window, launches like a native app, and lives one tap away — no app store required.

Your browser doesn't offer a one-click install here. Follow the manual steps below for your platform.

What you get

  • A standalone window with no browser address bar or tabs — just Clocktopus.
  • A dedicated icon on your dock, taskbar, Start menu, or home screen.
  • Faster launch and a native-feeling experience that matches your system theme color.
Secure by default — Installing requires a secure connection, and Clocktopus is always served over HTTPS, so you're covered.

Install on desktop

Chrome, Edge & Brave

Look for the install icon (a monitor with a down arrow) on the right side of the address bar and click it, then confirm Install. If you don't see the icon, open the browser menu and choose:

  • Chrome / Brave: Menu → Cast, save, and share → Install page as app…
  • Edge: Menu → Apps → Install this site as an app

Safari (macOS)

In the menu bar choose File → Add to Dock…, then confirm. Clocktopus opens from Launchpad and the Dock like any other app.

Install on mobile

iOS & iPadOS (Safari)

Tap the Share button, scroll down, and choose Add to Home Screen. Confirm the name and tap Add. The Clocktopus icon appears on your home screen.

Android (Chrome)

Tap the browser menu (three dots) and choose Add to Home screen or Install app, then confirm. You may also see an automatic install banner near the bottom of the screen.

Update & uninstall

The installed app always loads the latest version automatically, so there's nothing to update manually.

To remove it, uninstall like any other app:

  • Chrome / Edge desktop: open the app, click the menu (three dots) in its window title bar, then Uninstall Clocktopus…
  • macOS: drag the app from the Dock/Applications to the Trash.
  • iOS / Android: long-press the home screen icon and choose Remove App / Uninstall.
