Granualar member permissions

Add people to your organisation and control exactly which projects each member can see and log time to.

How access works

Organisation projects are shared with members. By default, every member of an organisation can access all of its projects. When you need tighter control, you can switch an individual project to Restricted access and pick exactly which members are allowed in.

Owners and admins always have access to every project in their organisation — their access can't be removed. Restrictions only apply to regular members.

1

Open Your Organisation

Manage members from the organisation settings.

Please sign in to manage your organisations.

2

Add a Member

Invite someone by email and choose their role.

In the Members section, click Add and enter the person's email address. They'll receive an invitation to join.

Member

Can log time to the organisation projects they have access to.

Admin

Everything a member can do, plus managing members and projects. Admins always have access to every project.

3

Open a Project

Access is configured per project, not per organisation.

The Member access card appears on any project owned by an organisation.

4

Restrict Access

Turn on Restrict and choose who's allowed in.

Toggle the Restrict switch on. The member list appears — flip the switch next to each person who should have access. Owners and admins stay locked on because their access can't be removed.

Leave Restrict off to keep the default behaviour, where every member of the organisation can access the project.
Moving a project to a different organisation clears its access list. Members of the new organisation get access by default, and you can restrict it again afterwards.
5

Save the Project

Access changes are applied when you save.

Click Save changes. Access is stored alongside the project's name and repositories in a single save.

If a member loses access to a project they previously logged time to, their existing entries are preserved and shown to them as read-only — nothing is deleted.
